1:
SABBAIAS (PERSON) [Gk Sabbaias (Σαββαιας)]. One of the sons of Annan who returned with Ezra (1 Esdr 9:32). He was one of the Israelites who had married foreign wives and had to put them away with their children in accordance with Ezra’s reform. He is possibly the same person as Shemaiah, who is identified as one of the sons of Harim in Ezra 10:31.
